The past few weeks my group and I have been reading a book called The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. It's about fungi, bacteria and viruses in this video I explained what it meant and what I wrote down.

Food Technology

    Today I made a google drawing about Microbes. I had to
    type down what I know about fungi, bacteria and viruses
    in coloured circles. In the middle I  write down what I know
    about all three of the microbes.  When I was done I put it on
    my blog and publish it. What I find shocking is that microbes
    can turn milk into yoghurt.

Food Tech

Ingredients:                              Utensils: 

Tofu                                            Pan

1 carrot                                      Bowl/Container

1 broccoli                                   2 knives

Lemon juice                               Wooden spoon

Tofu sauce                                  Chopping board

1 tsp of soy sauce

¼ of a ginger

1 whole garlic

10 green beans 

Oil

Wash your hands before you cook then fry it.

Peel your carrots then julienne the carrots then you put them aside.

Take the skin off the onions then julienne them and put them aside.

Cut the broccoli  into small pieces and put it aside.

Grab a pan and put it on the stove to heat up.

Put oil on your pan and wait a little while.

Once your pan is hot add in your onions and mix it till its brown.

Add your other veggies into the pan and mix that together.

Add yout tofu, lemon juice and tofu sauce into the mix and mix it all together.

Add your noodles in and mix it all together.

Put it into a bowl/container.

Enjoy.

Finding the volume of a pyramid

We've been learning how to find the volume of a pyramid with Mrs Tuakoi.

We first have to find out the area of the base after you find the area you have to measure the length,with and height.
 

Our Trip To Manaiakalani

On Wednesday my whole school went to The movies to watch other school videos. When we were going my whole class was split up so we had to go with Rm 6 when we were on the bus we were all quiet cause Mr Ramklown was with us. When we arrived at the Movies we had to line up when we finished lining up we walked to the cinema when we arrived there we saw a lot of primary school's 
we were in cinema 5 we walked up to our seat's we were at seat d. After we watched the movies we all walked outside in our class line, we were waiting for our bus to come when our bus came we all got in and drove back to school when we came back to school we had to go talk inside the hall about what we gonna do from now on.

Roti and Beans

Intro: Last Week Thursday we made roti and beans 




Body: On Thursday Rm11 made roti and beans, I was so excited to make it because I have never made it before in my my life so I was excited. When we came back from lining up we did a little bit of work then my teacher said to me and  Honor  to come and help cutting the onions and washing the potatoes after we washed the potatoes we cut it into quarters after we cut the onions we put it into the pan with oil and we left it in there until it was lightly brown. During morning tea we put in the masala after we put in the masala we added in water after we added the water we put in the chop potatoes after we put in the potatoes we added in chopped tomatoes then we added in a tin of water. After we added in the water we put in the butter beans then we let it sit for 10 min. After the 10 min me and honor tasted the curry if it was good  then after the curry we made our roti. For our roti we had to put in 1 cup of flour then we had to add in half a cup of boiled water and then we had to add in a pinch of salt then we had to add in a little bit of oil after we added in all our ingredients we mixed it all up and then we had to roll it into a circle then we ripped it up into quarters  then we got it into a circle after we did our circle we had to roll it into a circle so then we can put in into the fry pan and when it is inside we have to leave it there until its slightly brown at the sides after that we take it out and then we put our curry inside our bowl and then we can either dip in the roti or we put it inside.

Conclusion: I was so excited and happy to enjoy this recipe

How to compost using Bokashi

                   What You Need

• Two buckets One with holes and one without holes
• Secondly you need your bokashi mixture.
• Then you need your fruit scraps

First you need to put your bucket with holes in the other bucker then you will need to put in fruit scrapes and then put in the bokashi mixture and then close it and leave it for two weeks .

After two weeks you take your waste and dig it under the dirt and leave it their.

Prototec

I like to do maths a lot I like to do it at home by myself and I help my cousins with their maths I enjoy doing maths

And I do prototec at home sometimes.

Vector is a company that looks after the powerline. Vector came to our school to tell us about the powerline and how to be safe around the powerline she told us that we have to be safe around the big powerline machine.  She showed us a couple of things to be safe around the powerline she said if a wire is ripped a little bit we can"t use it because you can get electric shock.

I enjoyed talking about this because it is about powerline
I enjoyed learning this because it is fun to learn about.                                        

Vector

Auckland Zoo

On the 7th of August  room 10,  6,12 and room 11 Went to the zoo to see the wild animals. When they got there,  they had to sit down so that the teachers could see  all  the children were there.  Then the teachers had to  group the children. When they got into groups they went with a teacher and the zoo guide. First they got to see a big elephant. I heard that elephants are very silent because their  feet are very soft.

Then they kept walking but  they stopped to look at some Spider Monkey. Frederick asked Mr Ramkolowan if he can take him too see the tarantula.  When Mr  took Frederick there to see the tarantula they saw some pretty cool ones that were big  and black. After that they went and saw some seal but when they came back Frederick said that the seals weren’t swimming but still at the zoo they went to see the red panda to when they saw it they kinda look like they are evil because it is different from the black and white pandas because the black and white pandas they can not actually climb and crawl fast but the red pandas they are tiny and skinny and by the way the red pandas look like the skin color are orange but it still looks cute they did went to some other animals like penguins,Meerkat,Tiger,Whio blue duck.

When my friend Sharhera and Jasmine went to see the colorful parrot. They saw the parrot in the cage because if they are not in the cage they would be flying around but luckyily they were in the cage when they were in the cage they were feeding the parrots apple because the parrots were hungry because Sharhera said that she and Jasmine saw eggs in their nest so then they gave some apples to the parrot.

3D Shapes

   Name: Bernadette

This term we are focusing on Geometry.Yesterday we created 3-D shapes using nets.

   I created a cube. I found it difficult because of folding a cube. A cube has 8 edges, A cube has 12 corners and  a cube has 6 faces.
